Aspects Of Ageing Performed At The Manchester Fringe
Our friends at Wythenshawe Good Neighbours have been told amazing stories by the members of their elderly befriending group and they’ve turned them into a play to be performed at the Greater Manchester Fringe. Aspects of Ageing tells the story of Margaret and Josephine, who were land girls during the Second World War, and of present day cousins Olivia and Samuel. Highlighting the wealth of experience and knowledge that older people still possess, the play is designed to make us think about how the elderly are viewed by society today. Performed by the talented Captain’s Leg Theatre Group, all proceeds go to support this fantastic community project in Wythenshawe. At the King’s Arms Theatre, 11 Bloom Street, M3 6AN from Thursday 28th to Saturday 30 Jul 2016.
